Abstract

In this paper, an all-metal dual-polarized ultra-wideband Vivaldi antenna operating in the 2 GHz to 18 GHz frequency range is proposed. The antenna consists of two orthogonally arranged Vivaldi antenna elements. Each all-metal Vivaldi element is composed of an exponentially tapered slotline, a reflector cavity, a slotline, and a feed port. The coaxial SMA connector directly feeds the slotline, positioned at the bottom of the antenna and mounted onto the baseplate using screws. The simulated and measured results show that the S11 < -5dB ranges from 2 GHz to 18 GHz, and the port isolation is greater than 10 dB. The measured S-parameters and radiation patterns demonstrate good consistency with the simulated results.
