Abstract
A flowfield simulation code based on Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations was developed and validated by comparing computation results with experimental data. A numerical optimization code has been developed and applied to optimization design of swept rotor of transonic compressor. The optimized forward swept rotors can effectively improve flow performance near endwalls, weaken the intensity of shock waves and reduce wake losses, while the loss near the midspan is increased. Optimized blades has fine off-design performance. The results indicate the optimization design method is feasible.
