Abstract

Frequency source is the core component of modern electronic system, which plays an important role in the performance of electronic system. This paper designs a PLL frequency source based on LMX2492 and HMC733. The frequency source is controlled by SPI and the supply voltage is 6V and 15V. The frequency source has single frequency point mode and sweep mode. It can generate frequency signals from 9.5 to 18.5GHz. The phase noise measured at 15GHz is better than -82dbc /Hz@1KHz.
