N2 - In response to the needs of hearing-impaired parents, this project has designed an innovative baby monitoring product. This product aims to solve the problem of inability to actively and timely receive the safety and health status of their infants during sleep and home activities caused by sensory disorders for hearing-impaired parents, compensate for the inconvenience caused by sensory disorders, enable hearing-impaired parents to flexibly cope with difficulties and challenges in the parenting process, and meet the safety and other issues of parenting. This article introduces the design process, functional characteristics, and expected social impact of the product. Propose wearable detectors for infants and bracelets for parents based on market research on existing categories and forms of monitoring products, as well as considering the additional needs of hearing-impaired parents. When specific signals, such as crying or abnormal physiological indicators, are detected, the device will wirelessly transmit real-time data to the parents' wristband. The parental bracelet adopts vibration and light signals as notification methods, which takes into account that hearing-impaired parents cannot perceive the baby's status through traditional sound monitoring. The intensity and frequency of vibration and light signals can be adjusted based on the urgency of the monitored infant state to attract the attention of parents and respond promptly. In terms of expected social impact, this baby monitoring product can enhance the parenting experience of hearing-impaired parents, reduce psychological pressure caused by monitoring difficulties, and also help improve the safety and quality of life of infants. Through this technological innovation, this product is expected to be promoted among the hearing-impaired population, providing practical assistance and support to more families with special needs.
