Design of hardware-in-the-loop simulation and test system for millimeter-wave seeker

Abstract

In order to test and validate the performance of some millimeter-wave (MMW) seekers on the development, the design of one integrated hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulation and test system for MMW seeker was presented. The system can simulate the searching and tracking the target's process of MMW seeker in approaching actual flight scenario. The seeker's ability of detecting, differentiating and tracking the target can be checked and measured in the process of HWIL simulation. One test facility for MMW seeker was implemented and the results demonstrated that this design could be applied to the performance test of many types of MMW seekers. The system based on this design is able to implement the dynamic real-time test for MMW seeker.
