Design of GA+PID controller for ball-beam system

Abstract

In this paper, a kind of GA+PID controller is designed for Ball-beam system. Firstly, mathematical model for the Ball-beam is established by using Lagrange equation. And then, kalman filter is adapted to dealing with the noise signal in detection of Ball-beam system. Finally, an integral separation PID control algorithm is designed based on genetic algorithms with a new kind of fitness function. The experimental data obtained shows the control effective.
