abstract = "A novel multifunctional 60-GHz-band radio-over-fiber(RoF) system based on a Dual-Parallel Mach-Zehnder Modulator (DPMZM) is theoretically investigated and simulated. In this scheme, downlink signals of the 60GHz optical-wireless signal generated by means of subcarrier-multiplexing (SCM) technique to carry 2.5Gb/s differential phase-shift-keying(DPSK) by the 30GHz local oscillator in central station(CS) and 10GHz wireline baseband signal are simultaneously transmitted; the 60GHz remote local oscillator(LO) signal for down-conversion of uplink radio frequency(RF) signal is generated; and the uplink data of 1.25Gb/s baseband signal transmission is realized by remodulation of downlink DPSK signal without the need of additional light source is realized. Thus the configuration of base station(BS) in full-duplex RoF systems is simplified and the cost is saved. The simulation system is set up to testify the transmission performance of these signals. The signals with multiple services are successfully transmitted over 30km single-mode fiber.",
