Abstract

A constant temperature control system is design based on the thermoelectric cooler. Thermocouple is used as a temperature measurement sensor, whose measurement uncertainty is 6.6mK used in narrow temperature interval. The main thermostat and auxiliary thermostat core is MAX1978.The design goal of the main thermostat is to provide ±0.01°C temperature stability and uniformity inner the nano-scale measurement environment without heat-source. Auxiliary thermostat is regulated to achieve a good temperature distribution inner the nano-scale measurement environment within a little heat-power. The control-performance of MAX1978 is tested, which presents that the temperature stability is better than 3m°C/h, the temperature resolution is better than 0.01°C and the relation between temperature and input of MAX1978 is linear.
