Abstract

A new optical system based on the structured light method is proposed, which is commonly used for measuring 3D dental morphology with superiority in high accuracy, wide range and fast speed. The system includes two subsystems for projection and imaging, and they are combined by a common aperture miniaturize the dental scanning probe. This system divides the whole field of view (FOV) of the optical system for these two systems separately. The aberrations of the optical system with a scanning area of 46 times 35 square millimeters is analyzed and the system is simulated by Light Tools.
