Abstract

Higher requirements for the possibilities of calculation, storage and transmission for the real time demodulation are put forward with the development of modem fiber optic hydrophone array technology. Based on the analysis of the PGC algorithm of interference fiber acoustic sensors, a system configuration of real time demodulation is proposed in this paper, using the multichip DSP as the core. The characteristic of the real time demodulation processing is well considered in the design of the system, following the principle of programmable capability, scalability and restructured capability, which will provide more probabilities for the upgrade of the performance of the system. At the present time, the system has been applied in the open water trial successfully.
