Abstract

Asteroid exploration has been a new hot spot of deep space explorations in new century and a new orientation of space flight development of the world in the future. The design of transfer trajectory and the accessibility analysis of exploring targets are the one of significant technologies for the asteroid exploration. In this paper, the transfer trajectory for rendezvous with Ivar Asteroid was designed and analyzed by using the method of optimum two-impulse orbital transfers between any two inclined noncoapsidal elliptical orbits. We presented the orbital parameters of the global optimum two-impulse rendezvous trajectory for exploring Ivar Asteroid. Then the ranking and analysis about accessibility of Near-Earth Asteroids was presented by using this method. We provided the design parameters of transfer trajectory of 40 Near Earth Asteroids that have better accessibility. These results are of high value for selecting target and predicting the launch opportunity of exploring asteroid missions.
