Abstract

As an intrinsic sensor, Fiberoptic Bragg Grating(FBG)sensor is an ideal absolute sensing means. Its capability of multiplexing makes it to be one of the most prespective sensor for smart structures. But demultiplexing the signals of FBG sensors rto be investigated. To simplify the demultiplexing scheme, image spectrometry is proposed. The principle of image spectrometry for demultipexing FBG sensors is analyzed. The resolution and capacity of multiplexing is derived. The experimental result is coincident with that of calculation.
