Abstract

With the aid of analyzing interacted effect of rolling speed increment on looper systems in hot strip finishing rolling, the model of interconnected looper system was established. Based on H control theory and considering the coupled effect between looper height and looper tension systems as disturbance factor, the looper controllers for each rolling mill were designed using decentralized control strategy. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the algorithm and the good control performance of the looper system.
