Abstract

Control method and working characteristics of DC drive system for BJD6100-EV electric bus are studied. The fundamental control method for this drive system is introduced, and a concept of magnetic poles modulated by continuous-current is presented. Imitating the method . for measuring the speed characteristic of gasoline-engine, the working characteristics of the DC drive system is acquired, and this characteristic is based to give a tractive effort-speed characteristic which can be used to predict the dynamic performance of the BJD6100-EV electric bus. The practicability of the working characteristic is proved by experiments.
