N2 - Cycle life of traction battery has a direct effect on the use of electric vehicles. In this work, both normal cycle life and bus cycle life testing were investigated. Battery life can be tested with the bus-cycle procedure similar to the real use on road. Both the fading of capacity and the increase of the internal resistance should be tested and evaluated during life testing and the overall merit of battery attenuation should be given. All the discharge energy during life testing should be calculated, which can give the information of the real usable energy during all its life time.
