Cultivating the Key Competencies of Innovative Design Talents: Research on the Teaching Mode in Kobe Design University and Its Enlightenments

Abstract

Currently, cultivating the key competencies of students has become the consensus of the international educational circles. From the research perspective of innovative design, this paper discusses the specific connotations and essential characteristics of the key competencies of innovative design talents. Through systematic analysis of the teaching mode in Kobe Design University, and summarizing a series of effective teaching measures and executive approaches adopted around the training objectives of cognitive ability, cooperative ability, innovative ability and professional ability, which can provide some useful enlightenment and reference for the self-improvement and development of innovative design education in China.
