Abstract
In the wideband conical scan radar, the sensitivity to the radial velocity between the radar and the target induces the range migration through resolution cells among the high range-resolution profiles. It results in the failure of the conical scan angular measurement algorithm. In this paper, Keystone transform is used for range migration compensation without requiring any accurate velocity information. By the transform, the range profiles are realigned and the angular measurements are obtained correctly by the conical scan algorithm, even if a high radial velocity exists. Some computer simulation results are presented which illustrate the effectiveness of the method.
