Abstract

In this paper, the imaging theory for electrostatic and magnetic electron-optical systems having a curvilinear axis with any specified image rotation has been investigated. The conditions that should be satisfied in the curvilinear axial field with any specified image rotation are derived. As examples, several curvilinear axial field coefficient distributions that realize any specified image rotation are discussed.
