Abstract

To deal with the problems of information decentralization, and low visualization and real-time in complex product's assembly data management, a computer aided assembly process control & management system based on workflow management technology was constructed. The architecture, function structure and operation workflow of the system were set up. Some key techniques were studied, such as static assembly data management based on assembly Bill of Material(BOM), dynamic assembly data management based on assembly workflow, formatted export of assembly process card, real-time monitoring of production progress, etc. Based on workflow technology, the system achieved assembly process planning, the effective assembly workshop production planning and control, real-time assembly data collection and analysis. It provided a unified assembly data management method for discrete assembly manufacturing enterprises. This system was tested in aerospace-related manufacturing enterprise, and satisfactory results were obtained.
