Abstract

To enhance the performance and image quality of integral imaging (InI) three-dimensional displays, a comprehensive multi-objective optimization framework for the holistic design of InI system parameters is proposed. The proposed method incorporates diffraction analysis and a scattering model, enabling precise trade-offs through multi-objective optimization, with the validity of both analytical methods and optimized solutions validated through optical experiments. By maximizing the degrees of freedom in optimization, the image quality of InI can be improved by 31% on the SSIM of the reconstructed image.
