Abstract
The released laser-guided bomb flies along a zero-guidance command programmed trajectory. Once the target reflected laser-energy is received, the bomb will be guided towards the target until impact. During the zero-guidance command flight phase, the direction of the wind-head is along the direction of the velocity vector. And the direction of the gyro-stabilized seeker is along the direction of the body axis. The difference between these two directions is an angle. The value of this angle is α (if wind doesn't exist) or αW (if wind exists). Based on the analysis of the variation characteristics of α, αW and target acquisition conditions, a comparison of target acquisition probability between these two seekers is studied with equivalent view-angle method. By Monte-Carlo simulation, it is concluded that the target acquisition probability of these two seekers is the same.
