Abstract

The effectiveness of two programs packages developed by General Physics Institute (GPI) and Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) intended for numerical simulations of image tubes were compared. A Russian-made meshless streak image tube with axially symmetric geometry was chosen to carry out comparative calculation. ELIM/DYNAMICS developed by GPI provides numerous functions in the problems of photoelectronic imaging, simulation, optimization and computer-aided design of image intensifier. ODESI developed by BIT solves the static problems of image intensifiers. A satisfactory correlation between the numerical results obtained with ELIM/DYNAMICS and ODESI packages for static mode was shown.
