Abstract

Near-field indoor scattering measurement has become an important RCS test and evaluation technique. However, in a closed indoor environment, the test is susceptible to clutter interference. In this paper, a clutter suppression method for indoor near-field linear scan RCS measurement is proposed based on interferometric SAR technology. This method obtains the height information of scattering centers in the 2-D radar image by interferometric process, and removes all clutter scattering centers which have obviously incorrect height value by spatial filtering. Compared with clutter suppression methods such as vector background cancellation and range gate filtering, this method can effectively suppress clutter inside the target area. The practical effect of this method is verified by simulation and experiment.
