Abstract

The pulse-width modulated valve (PMV) plays an important role in the whole electro-hydraulic automatic control system. In this paper, the magnetic field of the axially symmetric plane model simplified of the PMV is simulated with the magnetic finite element, thus accurate results on the distribution of magnetic field and flux-line can be obtained, as well as variation of the magnetic force and inductance. Based on above calculation results, dynamic response characteristic of the PMV can be obtained by the state equations of the circuit and dynamics. Finally a calculation process is developed to simulating and predicting the performance of the PMV for the optimal design.
