Abstract

We propose an adaptive simulated annealing (ASA) algorithm for optimizing the power of each channel to maximize the total channel capacity in ultra-wideband wavelength division multiplexing systems. Its speed is much faster compared with mainstream heuristic algorithms with the same maximum channel capacity.
