Abstract

This paper describes a new circuit system for cell manipulation, cell electroporation and cell impedance measurement based on cell microarray chips and provides an integrated and miniaturized scheme for cell research. By applying two reversed sinusoidal excitation signals to the circular electrode, the cells on the electrode can be made to move under the action of dielectrophoresis force. After moving the cell to the central measuring electrode, we can apply a pulse to the cell to achive electroporation or apply a small sinusoidal signal to the cell to measure impedance. Due to the fact that cells can only withstand small voltage signals and these signals are easily affected by noise, this paper uses Labview to implement a phase-locked loop algorithm to extract the small signal feedback from the original signal. Then, various functions of the circuit system were verified by taking Huh7 liver cancer cell suspension as the object, and check test was carried out using electrochemical workstation parstat 4000a.
