Abstract

In this paper, beamforming design for multi-pair two-way amplify-and-forward (AF) MIMO relaying networks is considered, in which there are multiple users using one multi-antenna relay to exchange information. As there are multiple user-pairs, beamforming matrix at relay should be carefully designed to eliminate the mutual interference among different user-pairs. Both signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) at the receiver and mean-square-error (MSE) of the detected data are taken as the design criteria. Therefore, two different algorithms are proposed based on a framework of quadratic programming. The performance of the two proposed algorithms are finally demonstrated by the simulation results.
