Abstract

Design of automatic shift control system as applied to wheeled armored vehicles is studied. The automatic shift function is implemented by the use of an integrated system involving mechanical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic elements. Key technology and design methods based on actual drive systems of the vehicle are discussed. Experimental results showed that the mobility of the vehicle has been improved after reconstructing in automatic shift control system. The consumption of the physical strength of the driver is minimized and the working durability enhanced.
