Abstract
State-space analysis is an important method in the transient simulation of power systems. However, the difficulties in obtaining the state-space model restrict its applications in research. Automated algorithms are required for the state-space modeling of large-scale systems such as distribution networks. In this paper, an automated state-space model generation algorithm for active distribution networks is proposed for transient simulations, with full consideration of practical system structures and features. The proper definition of state variables reduces the model scale and guarantees the model properties that required by general analysis methods. This model generation algorithm is easy to implement in programs, and can make great contribution to the studies of state-space based transient simulation, computation, and analysis of power systems.
