Abstract

To solve the aggravating traffic problems in China, from the beginning of 2007, a program called Traffic Monitoring and Processing Technique Based on Aerial Platform (TMAPTBOAP) supported by the HI-TECH Research and Development Program of China is undertaken by Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. If everything goes smoothly, the system developed in this program may be used during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The architecture designed for this system will be introduced in this paper.
