Abstract
A method of hardware control for a missile controller system designed by VHDL is studied. Combined with the design principle of EDA, the functions of the whole system and subsystems were designed and analyzed. The function of each module was then described by VHDL. At last the final design was tested through simulation and was downloaded to the relevant EPLD. In this paper, the flexibility of VHDL and the characteristic of reprogramming in the static state and programming in the dynamic state for programmable logic were well made use of, which allowed the hardware to be designed by programming just like the software. Through results of the hardware-in-the-loop simulation system, it was shown that the performance of the hardware controller was stable, and the design requests satisfied.
