Abstract

The generation of radar clutter with arbitrary spectrum property is discussed. It can be regarded as a problem of parameter optimization that can be resolved by genetic algorithm. The process of realizing the genetic algorithm is presented by the clutter which has the logarithm normal distribution and Gaussian spectrum. A spectrum estimation operator is designed and applied in the genetic algorithm to derive the filter coefficents so as to get the satisfactory spectrum property. Simulation results show that the proposed clutter generation method can generate the clutters having the desired amplitude distribution and spectrum property.
