Abstract

Due to difficulty of high computational cost involved in structural optimization, an adaptive approximations reanalysis strategy was presented based on combined approximations. Approximation reanalysis was adopted when it satisfied specified precision, otherwise not. Topology optimization and shape optimization examples were provided and results were compared between approximate reanalysis and exact reanalysis. Results show the feasibility and validity of the proposed method in topology optimization and shape optimization.
