Abstract

Considering complex factors which give emphasis on bearing hydrodynamic behavior, a new method which combined with CAE analysis technique and orthogonal design methodology was introduced to analyze bearing hydrodynamic behavior of internal combustion engine. The key influencing factors were confirmed, which are rotating speed, clearance, width and oil viscosity. And the combination of the key factors which affect bearing lubrication behavior mostly was got. The simulation result shows that the combination of key influencing factors is excellent. CAE experiment shows that the orthogonal design methodology is effective for the analysis of the lubrication behavior of bearing.
