Abstract

Traditional space-time adaptive processing algorithum can suppress the jams from different directions effectively in which the space is different from signal direction, but it can not suppress the narrowband jams which come from the same direction with the available signal absolutely in the meantime, it filters part of useful signals. The adaptive algorithm of multistage IIR notch filter is discussed. Then an improved space-time adaptive processor which combines multistage IIR notch filter with space-time FIR filter bank is proposed. The proposed method can suppress both narrowband jams and wideband jams effectively and improve the performance of the communication system and enhance the output SINR. The results of computer simulation verify the efficiency of the proposed method.
