Abstract

A kind of EPROM SSD having a capacity of 1MB, and an extended card on the bus of a PC microcomputer is introduced. This card is formed by using two 27C040 chips to store the data of a 1.2 MB diskette while providing proper bootstrap mechanism. In the microcomputer system, it can be used as a floppy disk drive in the same way.
