Abstract

To address the difficulty of balancing accuracy and efficiency in full-wave simulation of electromagnetic scattering from ship-sea composite scenarios, this paper proposes an efficient distance truncation method using local current response. The ship-sea coupling system is formulated within the Method of Moments framework using domain decomposition, and an incremental Schur complement updating scheme is employed to efficiently update the equivalent impedance matrix during seasurface expansion. The relative variation of the local radar cross section (RCS) derived from the target surface currents is adopted as the truncation convergence criterion. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves computational cost reduction while maintaining accuracy.
