Abstract

The background suppression and SNR improvement are important in the detection and tracking of point and spot targets of infrared (IR) image sequence. Because of spatial-temporal correlation, complexity and fuzziness, an algorithm of adaptive fuzzy enhancement of IR image sequence based on fuzzy theory and adaptive technology is presented in this paper. The algorithm can effectively suppress background clutter and increase SNR. The experimental results show the algorithm is very effective.
