Abstract

In this paper, firstly the harmonic ranging fundamentals of the radio detector based on symmetrical triangle linear frequency modulation continuous wave (FMCW) is explained and deduced. Then a series of simulations and analysis of two cases whether the Doppler Effect is concerned or not, is given by utilizing Matlab. An accurate harmonic ranging algorithm of dual-channel amplitude ratio of Doppler signals and amendment of the ratio is proposed and simulated by using Matlab. Results indicate that the algorithm has a good ranging precision.
