Abstract

Microwave-assisted hydroconversion of demineralized Shengli coal liquefaction residue (DMSCLR) over Ni-B/SiO 2 was investigated under mild conditions. The results show that Ni-B/SiO 2 significantly catalyzed DMSCLR hydroconversion; the extract yield (EY) in methanol increased to 87.7% over Ni-B/SiO 2 from 62.3% without catalyst; Ni-B/SiO 2 observably promoted DMSCLR hydroconversion to GC/MS-detectable arenes and oxygen-containing organic species (OCOSs); benzo[ghi]perylene is the most abundant polycyclic arenes (7.54 mg/g) in the GC/MS-detectable species.
