Abstract

It is known that the co-prime array should be more attractive for estimating the direction of arrival (DOA) of multiple sources because it can obtain a high system degrees of freedom (DOFs). In this paper, we proposed a vectorized conjugate augmented method which can further increase the DOFs of the array by exploiting the sum co-array based on real-valued sources. Meanwhile, to obtain more available continuous virtual elements, we proposed an adjacent co-prime array (ACPA), by which, we can estimate N2 +3N real-valued sources from different directions with 2N physical elements. Finally, some results of numerical experiments are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
