Abstract

In this paper, a close-spaced 5G MIMO antenna using wideband combined decoupling networks is proposed. The decoupling networks are composed of a T-shape microline and a U-shape slot. The mutual coupling is suppressed effectively after inserting decoupling networks between two-elements antenna with an edge-to-edge distance of only 2.4 mm. The simulation results show that the isolation reaches at more than 15 dB over 3.2-5.4 GHz (51.2%) with the reflection coefficient less than -10 dB. While, a higher isolation more than 30 dB realized in a wide frequency range of 3.7-4.5 GHz (19.5%).
