Abstract

It is known to all that how to select a proper mobility model is essential in simulating the performance of all kinds of protocols in Ad hoc networks. In our real lives, each mobile node moves with a certain purpose rather than totally randomly. So the research based on the totally randomly moving mobility models seems meaningless to some extent In this paper, we propose a novel mobility model based on a moving choosing factor, which can depict the moving regularities of the mobile nodes in most big towns and cities exactly. Furthermore, due to the added choosing factor, this mobility model is proved to be more practical and move significant for us to master and I believe it can be very useful in the traffic study.
