Abstract

The directional pattern of a distributed array has grating lobes. This will lead to a significant decrease in interference suppression performance, which is called the phenomenon of grating nulls. The array configuration has an impact on the phenomenon of grating nulls. In this paper, the relationship between the phenomenon of grating nulls and array configuration of distributed array radars is studied. Through theoretical derivations and simulations, a comparative analysis is conducted on the grating lobe interference suppression performance of distributed arrays with uniform and nonuniform deployments.
