Abstract
Due to the presence of complicated boundary conditions, it is often difficult to apply an accurate finite element analysis on cylinder heads. The paper discusses different cases of cylinder blocks and bolts under simulation. Some conclusions useful for increasing the accuracy of analysis are summarized. Discrete errors of the model adopted are analyzed.
