Abstract
The demand for global mobile communications calls forth the research and development of the satellite networks using non-geostationary orbit satellites. In this paper, a LEO/MEO two-layered satellite network architecture is presented. The routing scheme based on an eclectic inter-satellite link handover strategy for the satellite network is proposed then. And a simplified simulation scheme is also introduced in this paper. Finally the performance of the satellite network and routing strategy is evaluated through the simulation scheme.
