Abstract

In this paper both interface elements and slide-line formulations are used to investigate a typical contact problem with friction. In numerical aspects, displacement control method together with line search technique are used so that the history of load and displacement can be exactly obtained. Numerical results are well in agreement with some solutions from other methods.
