Abstract
To increase the working frequency band of vibration absorbers, a semi-active control strategy is presented on the basis of the vibration absorber with an on-line adjustable clearance in elastic component. Besides, the range of working frequency of the absorber is analyzed with help of numerical simulations. Furthermore the semi-active vibration absorber is realized experimentally. The clearance is controlled based on measured external excitation by digital signal processor TMS320C30, a step motor and a magnetic clutch. Hence, a controller which consists of the absorber can follow the excitation of variation in both frequency and amplitude. Experiment shows the satisfying performance of the absorber.
