Abstract

Cooperative spectrum sensing is employed to detect the primary user more accurately in cognitive radio systems. Since the non-ideal reporting channels between the base station and the cognitive users degrade the sensing performance, STBC based clustering scheme is adopted to deal with this problem. However, inter-user channels between cognitive users may also experience fading and decrease the sensing performance. In this paper, we propose a robust dynamically-clustered cooperative sensing scheme. The proposed scheme makes full use of the inter-user channel information and groups the cognitive users based on the quality of inter-user channel. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the system sensing performance significantly.
