Abstract

In mechanical design, ball bearing is commonly regarded as a hinged point, which means no bending moments are experienced by ball bearing; however, in classical quasi-dynamic model of ball bearing, bending moment is usually taken as one of input parameters, which results in unreasonable results in some cases. In this paper, a new quasi-dynamic model is proposed, which discards the input parameter of bending moment and considered the interaction of interference fit between inner ring and shaft. Compared with the classical model, the new model can obtain more reasonable and realistic results, which is beneficial to the selection, performance, and failure analysis of rolling bearing.
